![]() ![]() ![]() These programs have been recognized as among the best in the fraternity world at shaping the lives of undergraduates who will go on to impact their communities. SigEp is proud to offer leadership training that enhances our undergraduates’ experiences and prepares them for life after college. In a typical year, more than 5,000 undergraduates will attend at least one of these events. The Fraternity offers five different local, regional and national leadership events designed not only to help brothers run a successful chapter, but to become stronger leaders for the rest of their lives. Sigma Phi Epsilon believes it must offer programming to complement the academic experience our undergraduates have in the classroom. What we look for is a willingness to try and a positive attitude. We realize that not everyone is a star athlete. It is a great way to develop friendships with brothers in our chapter, meet other fraternities, and to stay physically fit. That is why we require every member to participate in at least one team sport per semester. As you might expect, a major part of fraternal life is intramural competition. Sigma Phi Epsilon also places importance on athletics. SigEp recruits young men who demonstrated a strong academic record in high school (typically a 3.0 or better). Therefore, we look for those men with the same goal and who place the same amount of importance on their education. Scholarship is another key element to becoming a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. In order to uphold the respect and dignity of the chapter, SigEp only chooses young men that respect others as well as themselves. ![]() Being a gentleman is essential to being a SigEp because the actions of each brother reflect on the chapter as a whole. The characteristics that SigEp looks for in a young man are that of a GENTLEMAN, SCHOLAR, LEADER, and an ATHLETE. ![]()
